The sales are incredibly tempting! Wow, half price here, two for one there... but, do we really need it?
Boxing day sales are designed to create a sense of urgency. First, all stores are closed on Christmas, so we think that we need to stock up beforehand or make up for a lack afterwards. Then, we're tempted with seemingly low prices. It's like getting someone to fast for a day before taking them to a buffet.
So how do we avoid over-indulging? We don't go to the restaurant. Eat at home! Just as avoiding weekend shopping is a way to save and get better value, so to is avoiding shopping during these sales.
Have a safe, valuable, and non-festive experience.
