Late night guilt trip infomercials sponsored by organizations that support children in Africa claim to be able to do so for less than $1 per day. Assuming this is true, this should get you thinking: Can you live on one dollar per day?
Seriously.
Try this as an exercise in value. If you really had to survive on $1/day, how would you eat, sleep, and get around? If you're creative, you can probably think of a few legal ways of doing so. Now look at how much you actually spend per day. If you could live more comfortably for less, why do you live less comfortably for more?
You 're either using this difference to accrue wealth for yourself, or you're putting it in someone else's pocket.
